Imposing huge sanctions against officials of Iran

The United States has placed new sanctions against officials of Iran and a sponsorship network for the Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in the recent action after Washington currently aimed the oil and fiscal sectors of the Islamic Republic, as reported by the Treasury Department. In a recent statement, the Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) placed the new sanctions against the Islamic Revolution Mostazafan Foundation. 

It is an extreme mixture of some 160 holdings in crucial sectors of the economy of Iran, involving energy, mining, finance and construction. While Bonyad Mostazafan is a charitable company charged along with offering advantages to the poor, and its holdings are collected from the people of Iran and are utilized by Khamenei to encourage his office, reward political associates and enemies.

Presided over by last official of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Parviz Fattah, Bonyad Mostazafan was generated in the wake of the Islamic Revolution to impound and manage property. The Foundation has since developed as a source of power, wealth and promote for the Supreme leader and his inner allies. Apart from Foundation, the OFAC also developed Mahmoud Alavi, the chief of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), which has played a major role in the regime of Iran’s brutal human rights criticizes against the people of Iran. The Department has declared that MOIS agents are accountable for beatings, prolonged interrogations and confessions of political prisoners.

According to the news, the Supreme leader of Iran utilizes Bonyad Mostazafan to reward his associates under the legislation of charity, stated by the Treasury Secretary of the United States Steven Mnuchin. He further said that he will continue to target major officials and revenue creating resources that enable the recent repression of the regime of its own people.
